Seminars are highly structured classes with targeted learning objectives for those looking to really sharpen their knowledge and skills. These classes are dense with demonstrations and exercises designed for students to deeply and thoroughly absorb the content. Other events may include paint days or open studio evenings.

First Friday Open Studio

Join Peacock Studios at Ginkgo Arts for an evening of community and art. Check out what the studio artists have been working on and visit with other artists and art lovers. There will be snacks and wine!

A Day of Paint

A Day of Paint is for those who want to dedicate a large chunk of time to painting alongside a community of other artists. This is a low budget painting session that allows you to dig into your artwork in a studio setting while also receiving feedback from Landon and other artist attendees if you choose. Bring your art supplies and favorite snacks or beverages. Alcoholic beverages are permitted and all attendees must be 21 or older.

Pennsylvania Paint Along

2:00-4:00 PM at Ginkgo Arts

This is a fun paint along session for all ages! You will be guided step by step through washes, dabbing, scraping and splashing to create a painterly backdrop for a contemporary painting of the great state of Pennsylvania. If you enjoy playing with paint, this jawn’s for you!


Saturday, February 25th, 2023 Expressiveness of Aquarellable Pencils

Aquarellable pencils are a great medium to introduce into your paintings. They quickly build tonality and atmosphere to an artwork and are great for creating bold and dynamic mark making. This seminar is an introduction to using the aquarellable pencil and how to use it in a painting. Every participant will be given an aquarellable pencil that they will get to take home and continue creating with.
